Indeed. I got home last night after Shaolin about 15 minutes before 9. I always bring home the bacon around that hour on Tuesdays just in time for the. So I took my quick consume and proceeded to sit down with my recently updated lovely computer - only to find that my internet connection was drink. After all the usual cram involving turning the modem off and on again and fiddling around with the connection to see if it reconnected I called technical support with my cellphone. I'm not the kind of person that usually has time available on his phone (since I only have it to receive calls not to make them) but I really didn't be to miss the podcast so I decided that this sistuation was probably worth spending my phone's minutes. Tech support was quick to communicate me that the problem was pretty much affecting this whole side of town and that it would most likely be solved by 10PM. It definitely wasn't soon enough for me to make it to the broadcast recording but it would probably be soon enough for me to surprise them still online and explain to them what had happened. As expected though. 10PM came around and there was still no internet connection. And whaddya know? Around that time the tech support call center closes! So I decided to just go get some sleep. I'd wake up early and the connection would probably be approve up they probably just didn't reason how desire it would act for them to understand the problems alter and it was taking a little longer than expected. And from there came a series of going to rest and waking up every hour or so to see if my connection was back up - which it never was. Finally morning came and I called tech support again. The nice lady told me that the problem that was affecting this whole side of town had been solved and that if my connection was comfort drink the problem was most likely my connecton alone. Oh great. So then she said that the people in charge of actually fixing cram (she just works as a call receptionist) would contact me and set an appointment to come fix everything. "And how desire will that take?". I asked. "48 hours aproximately" she answered. "48 hours?" I exclaimed dissapointed at the tremendous wait I'd have to go through to be approve online. "it will act 48 hours for the tech support guys to come fix this?". "No. 48 hours for them to call and lay and appointment" she answered. So I answered the only thing I could answer: "You're serious?". She repled that it was change by reversal and thanked me for my patience and all that before we hung up. Immediately after I called up China Doll and asked her if her internet connection was up to which she replied that it was (obviously). So I asked her if it would be OK if I went by and uploaded my comic from her house (to which she also replied affirmitively) and I got to actually drawing the comic - which I hadn't done yet. So I drew and colored the one-paneled comic you see today and wrote this mouth - packed my cram and saved everything in my USB thumb-drive. Now wait for it here comes the good move. As I took the USB drive I looked down to my disconnected modem and saw the lights move back and forth. The connection was up. Somehow. I don't feel as happy or relieved as I expected to be. Good hunting; That reminds me of an article I construe on bbc-news some measure ago. Somwhere in Britain a woman was having the same problem. So she phoned tech-support. The automatic reply-machine told her all lines were in use and if she were so nice to please act. So she waited. For nine hours. The next day she waited for seven more. And the following day she got connected after four hours. If I hadn´t had a similar situation with tech give. I´d probably laughed about it. Luckily I only had to act three hours.. to get connected. Anyway anytime this Telekom does maintenance on ther machinery that controlls connections of suscriber lines to internet those computers fasten me out of the internet permanently - or untill my ISP annoys their service team into fixing that damn error. Oh I wish your net works fine now. I actually work for one of these tech give places.. and hate every back up of it all the policies and World's Stupidest Rules we have to follow. I totally take the customer's side when the rules tell me to effectively plam them off with some dumb platitude. And my co-workers never alter accurate notes the be of customer who say they've called a dozen times about the problem and the notes don't agree (I experience it's the other tech-support-peoples' faults they all do this).
